The A0 6 drawer Orchard Metal Plan Chest is a heavy duty, large capacity paper storage cabinet for classrooms, studios or archives.
With 6x 83mm deep metal drawers slide on durable nylon skids to give the smoothest action possible. They also reduce noise when sliding the drawers out or in.
For added safety, the design of this plan chest stops the drawers accidentally sliding out from the front with an integrated drawer catch. The drawers can also be equipped with individual locks for extra security. Keys may either be mastered to a single key which operates all the drawers, or supplied with a different key for each drawer depending on your requirements.
Each drawer is elegantly finished with metal D handle which creates a stunning, modern finish against the pure white of the drawers and sturdy steel frame. A range of other colours are available if desired and we will contact you before putting your plan chest into production to ensure it has the perfect specification for you.
This style of plan chest features a wooden inset MFC work top providing a durable and warm work surface which can be easily replaced if required.
We offer a wide range of colour finishes to suit your taste or even match corporate / brand colours. The standard white finish for both the drawers and the frame looks fantastic, however if other common colours are required then we can do this at no extra cost. Locks can be easily fitted on any of the drawers and keys can be mastered to a single key or suited with unique keys for each drawer. Contact us to discuss these options further.
If required, the Orchard Metal Plan Chest can be fitted with strong lockable swivel castors. These are especially useful in dynamic studio environments where your plan chest needs to be moved quickly and easily.
Is any assembly required?
No. Orchard Metal Plan Chests are supplied fully assembled however, it is easy to dismantle them if required for installation.
Are metal plan chests stronger than wooden?
All our plan chests are built to be 'student proof' and come with a lifetime warranty. However, if maximum robustness is key then a metal plan chest would be most suitable.
