The Studio Drying Rack from The Big Orchard is a mobile, double-sided drying rack for art studios, print workshops, conservation labs, archives and schools. Ten lightweight, removable shelves strung with SaatiFil polyester mesh support wet prints, paper, maps and conservation work while air moves freely above and below every sheet.

Key Features

• SaatiFil polyester mesh shelves SaatiFil is a fine 100% polyester mesh fabric used by paper conservators as a drying support. Its smooth surface helps stop wet paper sticking, it is air-permeable (120 micron openings, 41% open area), it doesn't stretch and it is unaffected by water, so it won't leave the impressions a wire shelf can.
• Lightweight, removable shelves Each shelf is a frame of 20/20 aluminium T-slot finished in black, with the SaatiFil stretched across it. The shelves aren't boxed in like plan chest drawers: they slide out on smooth glides and lift straight out, so you can carry a print to the bench on its shelf or take a shelf out for cleaning.
• Double sided Load and unload the shelves from the front or the back of the rack.
• Removable blockboard worktop A solid blockboard top gives you an extra work surface and lifts off when you need it to.
• Strong steel frame Welded and bolted steel frame with a tough powder-coated finish, based on our Orchard metal plan chest.
• Castors as standard Locking swivel castors, so the rack moves easily and stays where you put it.
