Meanwhile the Orchard logo, and its association with quality, continues to become ever more widely recognised as we constantly endeavour to improve our product range, services and customer relations.
2009
We are now proud to introduce ourselves as the offical UK distributors for the Tecnostyl range of Viusal Display equipment.
2008
Orchard became the sole UK importer for all Tecnostyl (Italy) technical drawing products. Having supplied Tecnostyl drafting machines throughout the UK for many years, we have now been able to expand our product range to include the entire Tecnostyl technical drawing range.
As we took on more in the way of reconditioned furniture we expanded our premesis to include a large warehouse in Ossett. Here we store everything from plan chests and desks to drawing boards all waiting to be returned to their former glory.
This year we also welcomed two new members to the team - Steve Rennison, and Gary. Steve started in August and has brought nothing but happy customers and dry humour into the office which outdoes even James and Matthew's most valiant attempts! Gary has been working in the factory specialising in Plan Chest production after Pete left us 3 and a half years after joining to move onto greater things.
2007
Jessica joined the office staff to help deal with sales and administration.
Also in 2007 Cristi joined the factory team specialising in drawing board production and assisting with installations.
2006
Steve and Vicky’s son, Matthew, began working full time. Having worked part time in the factory for many years, he quickly worked his way through the ranks to become 'Supreme Over-Lord of Website & IT technical supervision and publication design', yes that's my full title as far as I can work it out. I wrote this website, and designed the brochure, so if you have anything nasty to say, say it to me...no pay rise yet tho...
James also joined the company to work on sales and further develop our international markets.
2005
Orchard became a limited company.
Pete joined the manufacturing team to specialise in plan chest production and to enlighten us all on the world of fishing.
1998
Neil was taken on to work in the factory as production manager.
1997
The company changed premises and then, under the name of Orchard, the company grew further establishing the Orchard brand within the market place.
1986
Steve and Vicky Tindall, along with Steve’s brother, founded ‘T S Trading Company’. Based in Wakefield they became a leading manufacturer of drawing office equipment and furniture, it was here where the design and manufacturing processes for our drawing boards and plan chests began.
